Manchester United and England striker Danny Welbeck has admitted that it was "important" for him to open his account for the season with a brace for the Three Lions against San Marino.
Welbeck's first was a backheel flick from an Aaron Lennon cross, the second such goal he has scored for his nation, and the 21-year-old admitted that it is a type of goal that he likes to score.
"It is something I try to do when I get those positions, today it came off," BBC Sport quotes Welbeck as saying.
"In every game you want to score a goal but that was my first of the season, which made it more important."
The win keeps England top of Group H with seven points from a possible nine.
