Steve Mandanda bemoans "catastrophic" Champions League for Marseille

Steve Mandanda describes Marseille's Champions League campaign as "catastrophic".

Marseille captain Steve Mandanda has admitted that his side's Champions League campaign has been "catastrophic" this season.

Les Phoceens have lost all five of their Group F games so far this term, including a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal on Tuesday night, and can no longer advance to the last 16 or qualify for the Europa League.

"It is difficult because it has been a catastrophic run in the Champions League, we have no points," Mandanda told reporters.

"We were playing against a team that was superior and there is not much to say."

Marseille host Borussia Dortmund in their final game of the tournament in a fortnight.
