Newcastle United take on Maritimo in Portugal tomorrow night to kick-start the group phase of their Europa League campaign.

Newcastle United travel to Portugal to face Maritimo in their opening group fixture of the Europa League.

Magpies boss Alan Pardew is expected to field a relatively inexperienced side tomorrow night due to a host of injuries, which has left goalkeeper Tim Krul and skipper Fabricio Coloccini out of contention.

Newcastle striker Papiss Cisse has not travelled with his teammates due to an illness, while his forward partner Demba Ba, who has raised doubts over his future with the North East club, has also been left out of the squad.

Pardew is expected to select Shola Ameobi, Gabriel Obertan and Sylvain Marveaux as a forward three for the clash tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Maritimo will be without midfielder Rodrigo Antonio after the playmaker picked up a red card in the second leg of his side's playoff with FC Dila Georgia.
