Newcastle United striker Demba Ba has admitted that Paris Saint-Germain are a "special" club for him.
Ba has been linked with a number of clubs, including PSG and Arsenal, ahead of the January transfer window due to a release clause in his contract, and a move to France would see him return to where he grew up.
The Senegal international revealed that he was a PSG fan, but insists that his current focus is solely on helping Newcastle climb the Premier League table.
"I watch PSG as a fan, a supporter. I have never hidden my attraction to the club and have been a supporter since I was little. Now, they are doing important things, big projects for the future, and of course it would please me to play in the colours of a team I support," Ba is quoted as saying in RMC Sport.
"But as I said about Arsenal, it's something which is a long way off. For the moment, I am concentrating on what I have to do with my team - getting Newcastle out of the mess we are in.
"But it is true that PSG is a special club for me."
Ba has scored 11 goals in 19 league appearances for the Magpies so far this season.
