Steve McClaren is reportedly considering who to take with him to St James' Park should he be appointed Newcastle United's new manager.
The former England boss has been heavily tipped to replace John Carver at the helm of the North-East club, and it is uncertain whether the current interim coach will figure in McClaren's plans.
According to The Chronicle, McClaren is considering recruiting sports psychologist Steve Black, whom he met during a short coaching spell at Queens Park Rangers.
Black, who has worked with the Magpies in the past, met McClaren before the 54-year-old joined Derby County, where he spent two years as manager.
