Newcastle United are allegedly considering replacing under-fire manager Steve McClaren with former AC Milan star Clarence Seedorf.
The Magpies have already held preliminary talks with the Dutchman, according to Calciomercato.
Seedorf has scant experience in management, his only previous post being a four-month stint as head coach of Milan.
Reports also suggest that Queens Park Rangers are considering the 39-year-old as a candidate for their vacant managerial position.
McClaren is under mounting pressure at Newcastle after winning just two Premier League matches so far this season, leaving the club languishing in 17th place in the table.
