Darren Carter returns from suspension to take up a place in the Northampton Town starting XI against Newport County.

Midfielder Darren Carter has returned to the Northampton Town lineup following a suspension as the Cobblers seek their first win of the season.

The injured Clive Platt (calf) and Chris Hackett (Achilles) will miss today's clash with Newport County, but the hosts are otherwise close to full strength.

Andrew Hughes will continue to deputise for Byron Anthony at the back for the visitors, and Danny Crow has broken into the first team.
