Will Grigg named in Northern Ireland squad for Euro 2016

Will Grigg is named in Northern Ireland's final 23-man squad for Euro 2016 after scoring 25 goals in League One for Wigan Athletic.

Wigan Athletic striker Will Grigg has been named in Northern Ireland's 23-man squad for this summer's European Championship finals in France.

Boss Michael O'Neill, who saw his side beat Belarus 3-0 on Friday night, trimmed his party by five when announcing his final group for the Euros this afternoon.

Liam Boyce, Billy McKay, Daniel Lafferty, Michael Smith and Ben Reeves have all been left out, as the Green & White Army now up their preparations for a first appearance at a major finals in 30 years.

Grigg's inclusion comes after a season that saw him score 25 goals for Wigan in League One, and he was among the scorers for Ireland in the thrashing of Belarus at Windsor Park.
