Paul Lambert admits that Sunderland deserved all three points after beating Norwich at the Stadium of Light.

Norwich City boss Paul Lambert has said that Sunderland were deserving winners after beating his side 3-0 last night.

The Canaries, who were unbeaten in six before losing at the Stadium of Light, fell behind to goals from Frazier Campbell and Stephane Sessegnon before an own goal made it three following the break.

Speaking after the game, Lambert had no complaints about the result.

"We were second best all game," he told Sky Sports News. "We never got going at all, that's the honest assessment.

"The opening goal was a terrific strike and the second was poor from our point of view but if I'm being honest we were well beaten.

"I'm glad we never gave up, that's the most pleasing thing. The lads have done well over the course of the season."

Norwich remain nine points clear of the Premier League drop zone despite the defeat.
