Stuart Pearce interested in Nottingham Forest job

Stuart Pearce hints that he would be interested in returning to Nottingham Forest as the club's manager.

Stuart Pearce has hinted that he would be interested in becoming the next manager of Nottingham Forest.

The former England Under-21 boss is highly regarded among the Forest faithful, having made 522 appearances for the club as a player between 1985 and 1997.

Forest are currently searching for a new manager following the dismissal of Billy Davies on Monday, and Pearce has admitted that the job is an attractive one.

"I have spent 10 years training as a manager and that is what I am," Pearce told talkSPORT.

"There are some really good jobs out there at times that come up every now and again and Nottingham Forest outside the Premier League is an outstanding job for whatever manager wants it."

Former Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock has turned down the opportunity to succeed Davies.
