Nottingham Forest grab a victory over Sheffield Wednesday after Miguel Llera headed into his own net to gift the home side a win.

Nottingham Forest have snatched three points from their Championship bout against Sheffield Wednesday after Miguel Llera gifted the side the lead courtesy of an own goal.

Forest had the first opportunity to take the lead in the first half courtesy of a shot from Andy Reid, which was comfortably saved by goalkeeper Chris Kirkland.

The away side also had chances on goal in the early stages of the half as Jay Bothroyd powered his effort towards goal, but Lee Camp managed to push the ball out for a corner, which was easily cleared.

The home team began to get on top towards the 30-minute mark and Jermaine Jenas had a strong chance of snatching a one-goal lead but his shot was vitally blocked by Anthony Gardner.

Reid attempted to trouble Wednesday's defence with a corner from the left byline but Jose Semedo managed to clear the cross and keep Wednesday in the game.

Jenas began to stand out for Forest in the second half and tried to grab the lead for his team with a shot on goal, which was saved. Minutes later the Tottenham Hotspur loanee tried another effort on goal but it went wide on the left.

Forest took control towards the final 20 minutes of the second half and they were dealt a slice of luck when Llera headed into his own net to give the home side the lead.

From then on Forest were able to dominate the clash and prevent their opponents from taking anything from the fixture.
