Nottingham Forest "working on" signing Jack Hunt on permanent deal

Nottingham Forest manager Stuart Pearce confirms that the club hope to turn Jack Hunt's loan deal to a permanent one.

Nottingham Forest manager Stuart Pearce has confirmed that the club are attempting to seal a permanent deal for defender Jack Hunt.

The 23-year-old is currently at the City Ground on a loan agreement from Crystal Palace, but talks over a permanent contract began before the close of the summer transfer window.

"There is an opportunity for us to extend his stay on a permanent basis, even before the window opens again," the Nottingham Post quotes Pearce as saying. "That is something we are working on doing."

Hunt has played in all nine of Forest's Championship games this season.
