Notts County secure League One safety

Notts County secure their League One safety with a 1-1 draw with Oldham Athletic.

Notts County have held Oldham Athletic to a 1-1 draw to secure their safety in League One.

The draw, coupled with Tranmere Rovers' 2-1 defeat to Bradford City, means that Notts will be part of the pack once more next season.

Things looked bleak for the visitors when Adam Lockwood scored on 68 minutes and Tranmere were leading at home.

However, Alan Sheenan coolly converted from the penalty spot on 75 minutes to even things up before Lockwood was given his marching orders for the Latics a few minutes later.
