Luca Toni rescues point for Hellas Verona

Two goals from Luca Toni help Hellas Verona draw at Parma in Serie A.

Luca Toni's double helped Hellas Verona to a 2-2 draw at Parma in this afternoon's Serie A clash.

Rock-bottom Parma took the lead through Antonio Nocerino as he calmly slotted past Rafael.

Silvestre Varela doubled their advantage with a strike from the left side of the area, after Jose Mauri played him through.

Just before the break, Toni reduced the deficit, heading in from Alessandro Agostini's cross.

Toni almost got Hellas off to the perfect start after half time, but his attempt from close range was comfortably saved.

The visitors continued to push for an equaliser, and were awarded a penalty after Alessandro Lucarelli's handball - which Toni dispatched with 10 minutes to go.

The points leaves Hellas Verona 13th in the table with one game remaining.
