How Paris Saint-Germain could line up against Club Brugge

Sports Mole looks at how Paris Saint-Germain could line up for Tuesday's Champions League Group A clash with Club Brugge at the Jan Breydelstadion.

Paris Saint-Germain could take a huge stride towards the knockout stages of the Champions League when they face Club Brugge at the Jan Breydelstadion on Tuesday night.

Thomas Tuchel's side already sit four points clear at the top of Group A courtesy of victories over Real Madrid and Galatasaray so far, and they could extend that lead to as much as seven points if they make it three wins from three.

However, the French giants will be wary of a Club Brugge side that held Real Madrid on matchday two, taking a two-goal lead at the Bernabeu before Madrid fought back in the second half.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how PSG could line up for the contest.



Possible PSG XI vs. BRU

Out: Julian Draxler (foot), Thilo Kehrer (foot), Idrissa Gueye (hamstring), Neymar (thigh)
Doubtful: Edinson Cavani (hip)

PSG will once again be without the world's most expensive player for this match, with Neymar now sidelined by a thigh injury having been suspended for their opening two group games.

The Brazilian's absence makes a return for Kylian Mbappe all the more timely, then, and the French star is expected to be ready to start this match having come off the bench to score against Nice on Friday night.

Edinson Cavani was also amongst the subs for that match and is likely to lead the line should he be deemed fit enough for a first start since August 25, although Mauro Icardi and Pablo Sarabia have begun to settle into life at the club and provide Tuchel plenty of depth up front.

Idrissa Gueye had also made a bright start to his PSG career before being struck down by a hamstring injury earlier this month, although the former Everton man is not expected to miss a large chunk of football and could even return in time for the weekend.

Marco Verratti and Marquinhos were both on a star-studded bench at Nice too and will hope to earn their places back, with the latter battling Presnel Kimpembe for the second centre-back spot alongside Thiago Silva.
