Laurent Blanc: 'We should have killed of Reims in 20 minutes'

Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc believes that his side should have "killed off" Reims before struggling to a 2-2 draw in their Ligue 1 opener on Friday.

Laurent Blanc has suggested that his Paris Saint-Germain side should have "killed off" Reims inside the opening 20 minutes of their Ligue 1 meeting on Friday night.

A second goal for Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the break ensured that the defending champions earned a 2-2 draw form their first fixture of the season, but Blanc believes that it was an opportunity missed for his players.

"The only reproach I have for them is that they didn't manage to kill the match off after 20 minutes," the PSG boss told ligue1.com. "We should have killed it off, but we didn't, and that allowed our opponents back into the game.

"For the first match of the league season, the level was very high and I'm satisfied with what my team produced. The draw was a fair result."

PSG return to action when they host Bastia next Saturday.
