Zlatan Ibrahimovic brace gives Paris Saint-Germain Trophee des Champions

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scores twice to give Paris Saint-Germain a 2-0 win over Guingamp in the Trophee des Champions.

Two early goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic have given Paris Saint-Germain victory in the Trophee des Champions against Guingamp this afternoon.

The French champions broke the deadlock less than 10 minutes into the encounter as Guingamp left Ibrahimovic unmarked on the edge of the box, allowing him to fire home.

The Swedish international added a second just 10 minutes later when Jean-Christophe Bahebeck was brought down in the box, with Ibrahimovic converting from the penalty spot.

Guingamp had a chance to get a goal back on the half-hour mark when they were awarded a penalty of their own, but Salvatore Sirigu made a double save to deny Mustapha Yatabare from the spot kick and the rebound.

Ibrahimovic had a chance to complete his hat-trick at the start of the second half with a free kick from 20 yards out, but his strike was blocked by the wall.

Edinson Cavani came off the bench for the final half hour, and came close to adding a third for PSG just after coming on, but his shot went just wide.

Sirigu had to make a couple of saved in the final 15 minutes as Guingamp pushed to get back into the match, but the keeper remained sharp to protect PSG's lead, giving the club the fourth Trophee win in their history.
