Former Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko has joined Indian Super League side FC Pune City.
The 31-year-old, a free agent since February after being released by Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua, had been linked with a return to England and had a trial with West Bromwich Albion in August.
However, the Malian has now joined Pune as a replacement for marquee signing Eidur Gudjohnsen, who has been ruled out for the whole ISL season.
Sissoko, who previously spent three years at Anfield followed by a stint in Juventus, could make his debut this weekend.
