Queens Park Rangers release a statement confirming that they expect today's match with Reading to go ahead, despite heavy rainfall in West London overnight.

Queens Park Rangers have released a statement saying that the club expects this afternoon's Premier League match with Reading to go ahead, despite heavy rainfall overnight in West London.

Loftus Road is one of the least modern grounds in the Premier League but QPR expect the weather to improve over the next few hours.

The statement, released on the club's website, read: "As of 9.30am this morning, the pitch at Loftus Road was playable, despite persistent rainfall overnight in West London.

"With the weather forecast to improve in the next few hours, we don't at this stage foresee any problems with today's Barclays Premier League clash against Reading going ahead."

Both sides enter the match in the bottom three, with not a Premier League win between the pair.
