Harry Redknapp: Our defending was "criminal"

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp admits that he was disappointed with his side's defending in their 2-1 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp feels that his side's defending in their 2-1 defeat to Arsenal was "criminal" at the Emirates Stadium.

Alexis Sanchez put the Gunners in front in the first half, but the home side were reduced to 10 men when Olivier Giroud saw red for headbutting Nedum Onuoha.

However, the R's fell further behind as Tomas Rosicky doubled Arsene Wenger's men's advantage, and the visitors were condemned to defeat despite Charlie Austin's strike from the penalty spot.

Redknapp told reporters: "Once they went down to 10 men, you've really got to make sure you keep it tight. The one thing we didn't want to do was concede another goal.

"To let the second goal in when we did was criminal. We got in some great positions but our final ball wasn't good enough. We're disappointed in the end. We really should have got something from it."

QPR are 16th in the Premier League, two points clear of the relegation zone.
