Julio Cesar wants to use Brazil's Confederations Cup campaign to create more interest in signing him.

Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar is hoping that he can star at the Confederations Cup in order to impress potential employers.

The Queens Park Rangers stopper has been told that he is free to leave Loftus Road following the club's relegation to the Championship in his debut season.

The 33-year-old is keeping his options open while he tries to win some silverware with his country.

"If I have a good performance in this competition, many things might change for me and my future," said Cesar. "By having a good competition and being champions, more clubs might be interested in me.

"I have been fully focused on the Confederations Cup since it started and will let my future be decided by the people that represent me.

"I will not be closing the door on Italian football, as they embraced me eight years ago and allowed me to reach the peak of my career. It would be good to return to Italian football, knowing the league and the language. Rome is a beautiful city and I won't rule that out as a possibility."

Cesar has been linked with moves to Arsenal and Roma.
