Queens Park Rangers complete loan deal for Burnley striker Nahki Wells

Queens Park Rangers confirm that they have signed Burnley forward Nahki Wells on a season-long loan deal.

Queens Park Rangers have confirmed that they have agreed a season-long loan deal for Burnley forward Nahki Wells.

Burnley signed Wells from Huddersfield Town 12 months ago, but the 28-year-old has not made a single start for the Clarets in any competition.

That has resulted in Championship sides taking an interest, and Wells will make the temporary switch to Loftus Road.

Wells told the club's official website: "It's a challenge that excites me a lot. I have had the struggles of fighting to stay in the league as well as getting promoted.

"I like to think the club are getting someone who's hungry, excited, who has experience at this level and knows what it takes to grind out a long, tough season."

Wells becomes the second frontman sign for QPR on Thursday, with Brighton & Hove Albion's Tomer Hemed also making the move to the London outfit.

QPR have lost all four of their fixtures in the second tier this season.
