West Bromwich Albion defender Gareth McAuley has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Rangers.
McAuley has spent the last seven seasons at The Hawthorns, with a total of 227 appearances being made in all competitions, but the 38-year-old is out of contract this summer.
The Baggies are unlikely to make a late move to extend McAuley's stay in the West Midlands and according to the Daily Record, Rangers are ready to lodge an offer.
Director of football Mark Allen is said to have approached McAuley's representatives and it has been suggested that the Northern Ireland international is in favour of the transfer.
New manager Steven Gerrard has already signed Scott Arfield and Jamie Murphy from Burnley and Brighton & Hove Albion respectively.
