La Liga outfit Rayo Vallecano reportedly have just seven first-team players currently tied down for the new season.
The capital outfit, who finished 12th in La Liga last season, have relied on the loan market to boost their squad over the last couple of campaigns.
Head coach Paco Jemez finished the 2013-14 season with 27 players in his squad, but as many as 20 will be out of contract at the end of this month.
Despite their vast support, Rayo have one of the smallest budgets in Spain's top flight and, according to Inside Spanish Football, will once more be forced to dip into the loan and free transfer market this summer.
Pre-season training is expected to begin on July 14.
