Carlo Ancelotti: "Cristiano Ronaldo is a complete forward"

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti hails Cristiano Ronaldo as the "complete forward" after the Portugal star became the record holder of the most goals scored in the Champions League group stage.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti hailed Cristiano Ronaldo as the "complete forward" after the Portugal international took the record for most goals scored in the Champions League group stages.

Ronaldo netted in Los Blancos' 2-0 win over Copenhagen to claim his ninth goal of the campaign.

The strike saw Ronaldo overtake Filippo Inzaghi as the record holder, and Ancelotti told reporters: "I do not think Inzaghi is satisfied today with losing his record [for goals in the group stage], but Ronaldo is a complete forward.

"The team is close to what I was looking for. Defensively we're doing well. We have only conceded a single goal in our last five matches. There is a good balance and we have to keep that."

Elsewhere in the group, Juventus' visit to Galatasaray was postponed due to adverse weather conditions in Turkey.
