Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos pleased with first-leg result

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos says that his team were pleased with their goalless draw in Tuesday's Champions League semi-final first leg against Manchester City.

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has said that he was "happy with the team's attitude" in Tuesday night's goalless draw with Manchester City in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.

Los Blancos were without Cristiano Ronaldo for the clash in Manchester and although they could not find an away goal, a clean sheet has left them in a strong position ahead of the return match next week.

Ramos has also called on Real Madrid's home supporters to make the difference at the Bernabeu.

"Whenever you're away first you always want a goal, but no luck. I'm happy with the team's attitude and the game that was played. We played like a home game," Ramos told AS.

"City have players who can destabilise you and when you stop to think, they take advantage. Maximum concentration is required. We call for our supporters in the return leg to support us and hopefully we can enjoy another final."

Real Madrid will continue their La Liga challenge away to Real Sociedad this weekend.
