Carlo Ancelotti plays down Zlatan Ibrahimovic link

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti plays down reports linking him with a move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has played down reports linking him with a move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Swedish striker has been in excellent form for Paris Saint-Germain this season, leading the Ligue 1 scoring charts by 10 goals.

Ancelotti, who managed PSG last season, has denied that he will try to sign Ibrahimovic in the summer, and will not make a move for teammate Marco Veratti either.

"Will I try to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marco Veratti from PSG? No, not at all," Ancelotti told RMC.

"They are players who can not be dislodged because they are very important to their team.

"We will not waste time trying to recruit players who would be impossible to sign."

Ancelotti recently spoke about the difficulties of leaving Isco out of his Madrid team.
