AC Milan have reportedly identified Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale as a potential summer transfer target.
The Wales international will end his nine-year spell at the Santiago Bernabeu later in 2022 when his contract expires, leaving him free to move elsewhere.
However, the 32-year-old's future may be dependent on his country reaching the World Cup, the Dragons due to face either Scotland or Ukraine in a playoff final during June.
According to Calciomercato journalist Rudy Galetti, Milan are monitoring the situation and have already held discussions with Bale's representatives.
Milan chief Paolo Maldini is said to have been involved in the talks at a time when the Italian giants are trying to strengthen their forward line.
Liverpool forward Divock Origi, who will also become a free agent, has been heavily linked with a switch to San Siro ahead of 2022-23.
