A report claims that Sergio Ramos is expected to agree a new deal with Real Madrid on reduced terms in a possible blow for Paris Saint-Germain.

Long-serving Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos has reportedly accepted that he will have to agree to a pay cut to stay at the club beyond this summer.

The Spain international had been strongly linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain as he enters the final two months of his existing contract.

However, Mundo Deportivo suggests that Ramos is close to extending his 16-year stay in the Spanish capital after reaching an agreement with Los Blancos.

It is claimed that the 35-year-old will be given the two-year deal he is after, albeit on reduced terms on his current £315,000-a-week salary.

Ramos is reportedly due to meet with president Florentino Perez in the coming days and it is hoped that pen can be put to paper, bringing an end to the long-running saga.

The veteran centre-back has won four Champions Leagues, five La Liga titles and two Copas del Rey since arriving at Madrid in 2005.
