Spain assistant manager Toni Grande has revealed that Iker Casillas will be the number one choice for the World Cup this summer.
It had been speculated that Casillas's absence for Real Madrid could harm his chances of a starting role, with Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes enjoying an impressive season.
"He is our captain and Spain's best keeper by a mile. He's just another player, but let's not forget, he's still Iker Casillas," he told Sefutbol.com.
As it stands, Casillas, Valdes and Pepe Reina, who is on loan from Liverpool to Napoli, are expected to form the goalkeeping team at the World Cup in Brazil.
