Francesco Totti hails Roma's "great team spirit" after Lazio fightback

Francesco Totti says that Roma showed their title credentials by coming from behind to earn a 2-2 draw against city rivals Lazio in Serie A.

Roma captain Francesco Totti has praised his teammates after they came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw against Lazio in the Derby della Capitale this afternoon.

Stefano Mauri and Felipe Anderson had given the Biancocelesti a two-goal lead at the break, but a second-half double from Totti ensured that the points were shared between the rivals.

"Unfortunately we threw away the first half and were unable to play our football," he told Sky Sport Italia. "It wasn't easy to turn this result around, but we were more clinical and proved we can fight for the Scudetto.

"The important thing was not to lose. I saw a great team spirit and right to the end we are fighting for our only objective: the Scudetto."

Roma are currently second in the Serie A table, with leaders Juventus ahead of them only on goal difference.
