Francesco Totti double inspires Roma fightback against Lazio

A second-half double from Francesco Totti helps Roma come from behind to earn a 2-2 draw against Lazio in Serie A's Derby della Capitale.

Antonio Candreva had the first chance of the match when he received the ball just inside the box and bent an effort inches wide of the far post.

It was Lazio who were posing more of a threat and they scored the opening goal in the 25th minute, as Anderson clipped a ball into the area that was volleyed in from close range by Mauri.

The Biancocelesti added a second just four minutes later through Anderson, who collected the ball just outside the box and drilled a low shot into the bottom corner.

Lazio went into the break leading, but Roma pulled a goal back three minutes into the second half as Totti slotted in Kevin Strootman's low cross at the back post.

Moments later, Juan Iturbe threatened from range with a powerful drive that had to be tipped over the bar by Federico Marchetti.

In the 64th minute, Roma were back on level terms as Totti was found at the back post by Jose Holebas, before volleying in from a tight angle.

Both teams pushed for a winner and Miroslav Klose almost grabbed all the points for Lazio in the final minute, but his close-range strike was saved by Morgan De Sanctis as the spoils were shared.
