Preview: Sampdoria vs. Inter Milan

Sports Mole looks ahead to Wednesday's Serie A clash between Sampdoria and Inter Milan.

As it stands, Inter Milan are running a real risk of not qualifying for European football next season.

They are seventh in the Serie A standings, three points off a Europa League slot. The Champions League is now virtually beyond them because with eight matches left to play, they are 10 points adrift.

With that in mind, Wednesday's trip to Sampdoria has gained extra significance. They go into the match having won half of their 14 matches on the road so far this campaign.

Antonio Cassano has been tipped to lead the attack for the Nerazzurri, while Fredy Guarin could also earn a recall to the starting lineup.

Meanwhile, Brazilian frontman Eder will continue in his lone role as a centre-forward for hosts Samp, who go into the encounter 12th.
