Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler feels that his side were unlucky to exit the Champions League following their defeat to Galatasaray.

Schalke 04 midfielder Julian Draxler feels that his side didn't get the run of the ball in their Champions League defeat to Galatasaray.

Goals from Roman Neustadter and Michel Bastos weren't enough to keep the Bundesliga side in the competition as they lost 3-2 on the night at the Veltins-Arena.

Draxler told Sky Sports News: "We tried everything today but our first half was not good enough.

"In the second half, we had some chances but we missed them. Maybe we did not have enough luck today."

Schalke are currently fourth in the Bundesliga.
