Scotland midfielder Charlie Adam does not anticipate any problems from Steven Fletcher's recall to the squad.

Charlie Adam has insisted that no-one in the Scotland squad holds any resentment towards Steven Fletcher.

A fall-out between Fletcher and manager Craig Levein resulted in the Sunderland striker being omitted from the Scotland team for the last 18 months.

However, following a series of discussions between the pair, a resolution was found and 25-year-old Fletcher has returned to the international fold for upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

When asked whether Fletcher's appearance could cause disruption, Stoke's Adam replied: "I don't think it does. You want your best players available.

"He is one of our best players and it is good to see him back involved. What happened has happened, it's done and dusted. Let's move on.

"It's up to the manager if he plays but for us, it's good to have him in the squad because he adds to the quality that we already have."

Both players are expected to start against Wales on Friday evening.
