Scunthorpe United caretaker manager Russ Wilcox has hinted that the club's recent run of results could be enough to earn him the job on a permanent basis.
Wilcox has guided the club to away wins over Portsmouth and Rochdale since taking temporary charge in the wake of Brian Laws's sacking last week.
"Two wins, people are going to talk, and rightly so - a 4-0 win away from home against a team (Rochdale) that was joint top," Wilcox told BBC Radio Humberside.
"I don't think I need to apply, the chairman has seen what he's seen."
Scunthorpe currently sit sixth in League Two.
