Shakhtar Donetsk coach Mircea Lucescu believes that Tuesday's 0-0 Champions League draw with 10-man Bayern Munich represented a missed opportunity for his side.
Both sides failed to find a breakthrough in last night's goalless first-leg round-of-16 clash in Lviv.
However, Shakhtar boasted a numerical advantage for 25 minutes after Xabi Alonso received a second yellow card, and while Lucescu is pleased, the veteran coach regrets not going for the jugular.
"I'm satisfied with our performance and the result. We had our last competitive game two and a half months ago and we looked fine tonight. We still have a chance," he told UEFA.com.
"Unfortunately, we were not able to play our game even when Xabi Alonso was sent off. We couldn't gain enough possession and made a few mistakes.
"We are far from our best form, of course. This is a problem for us but we have time to change it."
The Ukrainian giants travel to Munich for the return leg on March 11.
