Sheffield United have completed the loan signing of Greek defender Panagiotis Retsos from Bayer Leverkusen, the club has announced.
The 21-year-old becomes the side's fifth and likely final piece of senior transfer business this month, following on from the capture of Dutch striker Richairo Zivkovic earlier on deadline day and a club-record, £22m deal for Norwegian midfielder Sander Berge.

United boss Chris Wilder said of the deal: "Panos is another who comes to us with a great pedigree and hopefully we can help progress his career. He is young, talented and one that we've had our eye on for quite a while.
"He's an international who has played at the top level and cost a lot of money when moving across Europe. Now he wants to prove himself in the Premier League and this initial loan spells is a perfect opportunity for Panos to have a look at us and us to have a good look at him."
Retsos spent most of last season out injured but returned to the Leverkusen fold in late October and has since gone on to make six appearances for the Bundesliga side.
