Stuart Gray happy with Sheffield Wednesday response

Sheffield Wednesday manager Stuart Gray praises his players for their attitude in the 2-1 defeat to Leicester City.

Sheffield Wednesday manager Stuart Gray has revealed that he was happy with his side's response following the 4-1 defeat to Watford last Saturday.

Despite losing 2-1 to Leicester City on Friday evening, Gray was eager to praise his players for their attitude less than a week after suffering the disappointment at Hillsborough.

"Watford wasn't acceptable but tonight you can get some satisfaction out of the application of the players," Gray told reporters.

"I felt for the effort and commitment we put in we deserved something out the game.

"Credit to the players, they rolled their sleeves up and had a right good go."

Wednesday remain 14th in the Championship following the loss.
