Vicente del Bosque planning Spain departure in 2016

Spain boss Vicente del Bosque hints that he could leave his position with La Roja following the completion of Euro 2016.

Spain boss Vicente del Bosque has given the strongest hint yet that he could leave his position with La Roja following the completion of Euro 2016.

The European champions suffered their first qualification defeat in 37 matches against Slovakia last week, but they are still expected to qualify for the competition in France.

Del Bosque has been in charge of the national team since 2008, leading the country to a European Championship and a World Cup. However, the 63-year-old is planning to leave his post in 2016.

"Sure. I think so. Let's get to France and then we'll see. In theory that will be my final challenge ," he told Radiogaceta de los Deportes.

Del Bosque has also previously managed Real Madrid.
