Middlesbrough full-back Ryan Fredericks out for a month

Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka reveals that on-loan defender Ryan Fredericks is likely to be out of action until January.

Middlesbrough right-back Ryan Fredericks has been ruled out of action for at least four weeks after suffering a thigh injury on Saturday.

The 21-year-old, who is on a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur, limped off during the 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers at the Riverside.

Boro boss Aitor Karanka confirmed the injury and also revealed that both defender Daniel Ayala and goalkeeper Dimitrios Konstantopoulos could miss this weekend's trip to Millwall.

"Ryan could be four weeks," Karanka told the club website. "Both Dani and Dimi are doubts for the weekend."

Fredericks has made 11 appearances in all competitions for promotion-chasing Boro this season.
