Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli pulls out of England's squad for the games against Germany and Brazil with a hamstring injury.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli will play no part in England's prestige friendlies against Germany and Brazil after being ruled out with a hamstring injury.

The 21-year-old was not included in the Lilywhites' matchday squad to face Crystal Palace on Sunday due to what boss Mauricio Pochettino described as a "minor" problem.

Alli's injury is serious enough to keep him sidelined for the next fortnight, however, seeing him miss the Three Lions' upcoming games against heavyweight sides Germany and Brazil at Wembley Stadium, while also making him doubtful for the trip to Arsenal on November 18.

Asked about the midfielder's injury, Pochettino told Sky Sports News: "Dele suffered a minor injury in his hamstring after the Real Madrid game.

"It's not a big issue but he cannot be available. In some periods this happens. That is why the squad is so important and everyone feels part of the team. We have to show we're a team."

England have not called up a replacement for former MK Dons ace Alli, who has seven goals and one assist in all competitions for Spurs this season.
