Tottenham Hotspur confirm Hugo Lloris, Toby Alderweireld injuries

Tottenham Hotspur confirm that Hugo Lloris and Toby Alderweireld will miss the Premier League game with Crystal Palace through injury.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that the club will not know the extent of injuries sustained by Hugo Lloris and Toby Alderweireld until later on Friday.

The North London outfit have already confirmed that the pair will be absent from the squad to face Crystal Palace on Sunday, but Pochettino has played down reports concerning Lloris.

France boss Didier Deschamps has suggested that the goalkeeper will miss two weeks with a groin injury, but Pochettino is prepared to wait before confirming how much time that Lloris and Alderweireld - who has a hamstring problem - will miss in the coming weeks.

The 45-year-old told reporters: "My information today is we must wait about Toby and Hugo. The scan they are now going to do this afternoon.

"Sure that tomorrow we will have a better idea about it. Today is speculation. We can guess but I think we must wait for the information after the scan and the assessment from the doctor."

Both players sustained their respective injuries during Spurs' 3-1 victory over Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
