Emmanuel Adebayor is hoping to be fit for Tottenham Hotpur's trip to Arsenal at the weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor is confident that he will be fit for Sunday's North London derby against Arsenal.

The Togo international missed his side's FA Cup with Stevenage at the weekend because of a knee injury.

However, he took part in training today and was pleased with how the session went.

"Just finished training, really happy with the progress, knee is looking much better," the 27-year-old wrote on Twitter. "Working on my fitness for Sunday."

Adebayor's teammate Rafael van der Vaart is also hoping to be fit for the trip to the Emirates Stadium.
