Mousa Dembele: 'We must learn from Liverpool defeat'

Mousa Dembele urges Tottenham Hotspur to learn from the Liverpool defeat ahead of the trip to Sunderland on Saturday.

Mousa Dembele has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur must learn lessons from the defeat they suffered to Liverpool if the team are to return to form against Sunderland on Saturday.

Two victories at the start of the Premier League season were quickly forgotten following the loss to the Reds, but Dembele is confident that Mauricio Pochettino's side will be back to their best at the Stadium of Light.

"Our last game against Liverpool was very disappointing of course and we have to learn from that defeat," the Belgian midfielder told the club's website.

"We must continue to be sharp because there are other teams that have been doing well, but if we think about the games before Liverpool where we were very good we can get back to that and continue to improve."

Dembele has not started any of Tottenham's three Premier League games this season.
