Harry Kane hails Mauricio Pochettino tactics after Everton victory

Spurs striker Harry Kane says that manager Mauricio Pochettino got his tactics spot-on in Sunday's 2-1 win at home to Everton.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has expressed his belief that manager Mauricio Pochettino's tactical nous paid dividends in Sunday's 2-1 victory over Everton at White Hart Lane.

First-half goals from Christian Eriksen and Roberto Soldado helped Spurs come from behind to claim the three points after Kevin Mirallas's early opener.

It was the manner of Tottenham's second goal which delighted Kane, as the hosts pressed and forced an error from Gareth Barry before Soldado punished him.

"It feels amazing to get the win. It was tough out there, Everton are a great side," Kane told Sky Sports News.

"That's what we've been working on - pressing high and winning the ball high up the pitch, creating opportunities.

"We caught them on the ball and we managed to counter and get the goal. That's what the manager has been working on and it's good to see it working on the pitch."

The victory propelled Pochettino's side up to seventh in the Premier League table.
