Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino says that Harry Kane is "better" than Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has suggested that Harry Kane is a "better" player than four-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 32-year-old Real Madrid star has scored 410 goals in all competitions across an eight-year spell at the Bernabeu, and he impressed once again by netting twice in a 3-1 triumph over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Elsewhere in Group H, Kane scored a hat-trick - his sixth in 2017 - to seal a 3-0 victory over APOEL.

Even though the England international is far behind Ronaldo in the goal tally, as well as trophies, Pochettino thinks that his player being eight years younger gives him an advantage.

"Cristiano is fantastic one of the best, Harry is one of the best and maybe better because he is young but I cannot talk about that because both are fantastic, the kind of players you want in your team," The Mirror quotes him as saying.

"Harry Kane and Cristiano Ronaldo in the same team. Why do you have to choose? Harry has something special in front of the goal and that is why he's one of the best.

"All the strikers who are at this level have something special. They are killers. Harry has this special skill."

Kane has not yet won a trophy in his senior career.
