Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama has insisted that his failed summer move to Tottenham Hotspur is now forgotten about.
The Kenyan international handed in a transfer request as the transfer window drew to a close, amidst speculation linking him with Spurs, but the Saints immediately rejected it.
The 24-year-old was subsequently left out of the 3-0 win against Norwich City at the end of August, but he has said that now the window is closed, he is now fully focused on Southampton.
When asked about the proposed Spurs move, he told Southern Daily Echo: "I just don't want to remember that situation. Now I've forgotten what happened.
"I'm now progressing at my club and it's been good, so I'm looking forward to putting in good performances."
Wanyama has made 10 appearances for Southampton so far this season.
