Team News: Michael Dawson back for Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur club captain Michael Dawson returns to the team's starting XI for today's Premier League clash against Stoke City.

Long-term absentees Matthew Etherington and Robert Huth remain unavailable for Stoke City ahead of today's Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur, while defender Erik Pieters, absent against Cardiff City after suffering sickness, makes the Potters' bench.

The home side have been defeated once in their last eight games and haven't lost a home game since January.

Veteran centre-back Michael Dawson, who missed Spurs' last three games with a hamstring injury picked up in the 4-0 defeat to Chelsea in March, is back in the away side's starting XI, but the game has come too soon for fellow defender Jan Vertonghen, who is out with an ankle injury.

Midfielder Mousa Dembele is ruled out of today's clash with an ankle injury, while Etienne Capoue, Kyle Walker and and Erik Lamela all remain unavailable for selection.
