Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly tracking Lorient youngster Matteo Guendouzi.
The 18-year-old has allegedly been shortlisted as a potential replacement for Spurs midfielder Mousa Dembele, who will soon enter the final 18 months of his current contract.
Guendouzi, a defensive midfielder, is on the books at the Ligue 2 side and is also thought of fondly by Premier League leaders City, according to Sky Sports News.
The Frenchman, who is part of his country's Under-20s set-up, made eight appearances for his club last term and has established himself in the first team this season.
Tottenham are also said to be interested in Inter Milan man Geoffrey Kondogbia, who is on loan at Spanish side Valencia.
